Prototype development
In the two workdays following the session, our prototype designers turn the sketches created during the session into an interactive prototype.
What happens during these 2 days?
The prototype is designed and developed by our in-house prototype designers based on what was discussed and sketched during the session. Your team does not need to be present for this process. The finalized prototype is then reviewed during a video call, allowing time for questions and feedback.
What are the capabilities of the prototype?
We develop the prototype in Figma. This offers several advantages:
- You can easily share a link to the prototype and control who can view it (e.g., your team, investors, or even make it public for social media).
- We can make the prototype responsive so it works on different phone sizes.
- Prototypes can be developed for different devices—mobile, tablet, desktop, or even for displays in cars or coffee machines.
- Interactive elements can be added, such as task completion, video playback, or slider manipulation.
- Smart linking allows us to fetch real user data or perform qualitative A/B testing.
- Your design team likely already uses Figma, allowing them to easily edit or expand the prototype after delivery.
- Developers can use Figma's dev mode to translate the prototype directly into production code.
- With a subscription, we can integrate your internal Figma component library for perfect consistency and seamless hand-offs to your team.
Can I request a specific interaction?
While many interactions are possible, it's best to contact us to discuss your specific needs. Together, we'll explore the possibilities.
Can I edit or expand the prototype myself?
Yes, the prototype is delivered as a Figma file. This allows you to edit it yourself or have your design team make changes. If you don't have a Figma subscription, you can still view the prototype using our shared link.
Is there a guarantee that the prototype will work correctly?
Yes. If something isn't working correctly during the video call, or if a sketched element wasn't included in the prototype, we'll always make those adjustments free of charge. This is covered under our prototype guarantee.
